El Harissa is a North African and Mediterranean restaurant, deli, market, and catering service located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Opening in the winter of 2013, the restaurant attracts both locals and “accidental customers” via the highway exits close to the business location. Although the family-owned business has generated a substantial following and its catering service has begun to expand, the overall visual identity of the establishment is not yet consistent nor promoting as much consumer attention as it could be. The purpose of this project was to create a new visual identity and branding for El Harissa.
